CARLI Updates

  • The terms of three members - Jessica, Michele, and Sarah - are ending this summer. Each can volunteer to serve another term.
  • CARLI hosted a ThirdIron/LibKey webinar. Turnout/interest was good. It would be brokered as a Software as a Service, which takes longer/requires an RFP.
  • CARLI is still working on prep for FY25. Vendor pricing should be wrapped up soon, hopefully opening up to member libraries April 1st.
  • Software as a Service cycle is open in the selection system now and closes in mid-March.
  • The selection cycle is also open for WEST (shared print serials storage). Interested members must request pricing by May 10, and make the selection by May 17. A three-year commitment is required.
  • CARLI selection system is approaching its end of life. CARLI staff is looking for alternate solutions.
  • Elizabeth provided an update on the consortial ebook program.
  • The Collection Management Committee is looking for panelists for two sessions at the end of May. Looking for 5-minute presentations about relevant projects. One session is on weeding, one is on shifting.
  • CARLI is working with EBSCO to have a training event on the new EBSCO Experience Manager.
  • Instruction Showcase on June 20 is extending its call for proposals
  • The next Alma/Primo VE office hours will be on P2E clean-up.
